Babys first outfit
What clothes belong in a baby's first outfit:
In the first few weeks of life, a baby only needs a manageable wardrobe. A basic change of clothes is sufficient to begin with, as an average-sized newborn usually wears a size 50/56. They quickly outgrow these sizes, so a basic set of three to four rompers and bodysuits is sufficient – especially since gifts from family and friends often supplement the baby's wardrobe.
Size 56/62 usually offers a bit more comfort, but keep in mind that fits can vary depending on the manufacturer. The following items of clothing should be included in a baby's first outfit: - Five to eight bodysuits, pants, camisoles, shirts, or sweaters (depending on the season). Clothing with easily expandable necklines, for example, with buttons, is particularly practical. - Three rompers - Two pairs of baby tights - One outdoor outfit: jacket, hat, pants, and possibly mittens, depending on the season - Four pajamas - Two to six pairs of newborn socks or woolen booties - Two cotton hats - One to two jackets - In the colder months: One to two warm one-pieces (overalls) or sets. It's advisable to be thoughtful when choosing and not buy too many in the smallest sizes.
First, test out which items of clothing are practical for you and your baby. Some parents prefer wrap-around bodysuits, while others find snap fasteners more practical. Babies with larger feet may not fit into rompers with integrated feet. Therefore, it's recommended to initially purchase only a few different models and then purchase more specifically as they prove useful in everyday life. When choosing clothes, make sure they are washable at 60 degrees and are produced with as few harmful substances as possible. This way, you'll be well prepared for the initial period.
